GLP to Design, Construct Infrastructure for BOC LNG in Tasmania

GLP Group has been contracted by BOC to design and construct the supply chain infrastructure, including road tankers and six refuelling stations, for a micro-LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant in Westbury, Tasmania.Construction on-site will begin in either late September or early October 2009.A 25-30 metre offtake from the Tasmania Gas Pipeline will be included in the micro-LNG plant, which will process the gas and store LNG at the facility. LNG will be distributed throughout Tasmania to fuel the transportation industry.The LNG plant will have the capacity to produce 50 t/d (the equivalent of 70,000 litres of conventional diesel).The plant is expected to come online in late May or early June 2010.
