GLP designed, fabricated and commissioned a plant inlet scrubber for treating coal seam gas feed, containing both solid particulates and liquid droplets. This 2100mm diameter Plant Inlet Scrubber, otherwise known as a Multicyclone Scrubber, utilises over 175 removable stainless steel tangential flow cyclones for separation of solids and liquids from high-pressure coal seam gas.
Multicyclones can achieve very high separation efficiency for fine solid particles, while also effectively handling fine liquid droplets. Multicyclone technology, by virtue of the cyclonic separation design with no moving parts, is also unique in being able to handle solid particulates, both with and without associated water, while maintaining extreme resilience to fouling and subsequent pressure drop accumulation.Â
